High Rollers & Las Vegas Legacies: Sheldon Cooper Takes Over the Sky High Lounge

Cannabis, culture, and authentic conversation come together on NuWu Sessions, the only podcast filmed and hosted inside Nevada’s original legal cannabis consumption lounge: the world-famous Sky High Lounge at NuWu Main. Hosted by Tom, each episode invites the most influential voices from cannabis, entertainment, and the Las Vegas community to sit down, enjoy a top-tier session, and share the raw stories behind their grind.

In Episode 49, Tom is joined by a true Sin City original: Sheldon Cooper, the visionary founder of All Access USA, Tattoos and Smoke, and the groundbreaking Cannabis Awards Music Festival. From throwing wild, project-X style backyard and desert parties that brought out police helicopters, to organizing massive, fully compliant lifestyle productions, Sheldon has spent years redefining what entertainment looks like in Las Vegas.

Inside the Session: Music Festivals, Ink, and High-Productivity Habits

From Las Vegas Parties to Large-Scale Events

Sheldon’s journey as an event producer began long before legal cannabis lounges were a reality in Nevada. Starting with underground bonfires and parties as a teenager, he secured his professional promoter's license to build All Access Vegas (now All Access USA). He eventually launched the Cannabis Awards Music Festival to give creators, consumers, and underground outliers a safe, high-scale space to celebrate the culture together.

"We actually produced it within three months. Our first show we only had 90 days... and for me, I thought that was like 300 days. I was like, 'Oh my gosh, this is going to be so much time.' And then whenever you start producing a show, you're like, 'Oh my gosh, three months... three months of street anxiety.' And then we did it. We introduced our show at the Hard Rock here in Vegas. And we got very lucky. It actually sold out."

Creating Tattoos and Smoke

What started as a search for a standard storefront smoke shop during the pandemic became a massive, multi-faceted Las Vegas destination. Tattoos and Smoke blends a professional tattoo studio, smoke shop, late-night tattoo supply hub, and an extensive collection of signed entertainment memorabilia under one roof.

"We're actually the only tattoo supply store that is open after 5 p.m. We open until 2 in the morning every single day, 7 days a week. And for supply stores, they all close at 5... So imagine you're doing a tattoo at your shop and you run out of black ink. You're cooked. And then you could actually go to Tattoos and Smoke... We do the biggest selection of ink for $5... It gets people in the door."

Cannabis, Creativity and Staying Productive

Tom and Sheldon dive deep into what it means to be a highly functional, highly productive cannabis consumer. For Sheldon, pairing daily consumption with rigid routines, strict calendars, and personal household order is the ultimate unlock for managing multiple bi-coastal businesses.

"I actually grew up like straight edge... My dad didn't really get high, he did other things... So for me growing up, that's what kind of made me have this vision like, 'Don't do it.' ... But I beg on to the industry because it opened up my creativity to a whole other level. I was very productive in everything... I actually create goals and then execute them when I'm high."

The Future of Cannabis Events

Looking ahead, Sheldon believes cannabis events will become increasingly immersive and technology-driven. From holographic sponsor displays and LED installations to artificial intelligence and other emerging tools, All Access USA is exploring new ways to elevate its festivals while creating more visibility for participating brands.

"I see everything getting very futuristic. I see what like Japan, China overseas is doing with drones, with AI, with technology... we bring these technologies to really highlight the brands and the sponsors... I want this festival to be happening when I'm not here anymore. So like, I want a hologram of me being there when I'm not there."
