Nuwu Cup Is Taking Over Nuwu Main on October 17

If you know Nuwu Main, you know the courtyard. On Saturday, October 17, it becomes something very different.

For the 6th Annual Nuwu Cannabis Cup Awards Ceremony & Variety Show, the Nuwu Outdoor Courtyard is turning into a full event space for the day, with the Cup awards happening alongside live bands, hip-hop, DJs, burlesque, food vendors, cannabis brands, games, contests, art experiences, a Vendor Village and a car show.

General Admission is $30, and you do not need to have been a Nuwu Cup judge to come. The event is open to guests 21+.

Doors open at 12 PM, with activities, workshops, music and performances happening throughout the afternoon before the Nuwu Cup Awards Ceremony begins at 6 PM. The night continues with more music and entertainment, including Garden Grove at 8:30 PM.

Nuwu Cup runs from 12 PM–11 PM, giving guests the day to move between the awards, performances, food, activities and experiences happening around the property.

There is also a limited perk for guests who buy early: the first 150 qualifying ticket purchasers receive one pre-roll from each of the eight 2026 Nuwu Cup flower entries while supplies last. That offer is limited to those qualifying first 150 ticket purchasers—it is not included with every General Admission ticket.

Come for the Cup. Stay for What’s Happening Around It.

The awards are still at the center of Nuwu Cup. After weeks of judging this year’s competition entries, October 17 is when the 2026 winners are announced.

But you are not buying a $30 ticket to sit through an awards presentation and head home.

The courtyard will keep moving around the ceremony. You might catch an award announcement, walk over to a live performance, spend some time with the cannabis brands, jump into trivia or a courtyard game, watch a rolling contest, check out an arts-and-crafts activation and circle back when something else catches your attention.

That loose, move-around-the-property format is a big part of the day. There is no requirement to have followed the competition or purchased a Judge Kit beforehand. You can come because you want to see who wins, but you can just as easily come because spending a Saturday around music, cannabis culture, food and a packed Nuwu courtyard sounds like a good time.

The entertainment reflects that mix.

The entertainment builds throughout the day. Mojo Reggae and Roots Riddim Kollectiv are part of the afternoon lineup before the Nuwu Cup Awards Ceremony begins at 6 PM. RED, Maude Zoleum, Edboii Corleone, burlesque and Pennwood Dough are worked into the evening programming, with Garden Grove taking over at 8:30 PM.

The result is less “sit down and watch the program” and more “see where the day takes you.”

Food, Brands, Cars and the Rest of the Courtyard

You will have places to eat without leaving the event.

Mr. Big Stuff, Señor Barriga and Spoon Me Cheesecake are confirmed for the Cup, giving guests options for food and dessert throughout the day. Food is available for purchase and is not included with General Admission.

Between performances and Cup programming, guests can also walk through the Vendor Village and cannabis brand experiences happening around the property.

The car show adds another layer to the courtyard, with Whips N Chics and Hi-Lyfe Truck Club among the featured partners for the day.

It is the combination that changes the feel of Nuwu Main. Instead of coming in, shopping and heading out, the property becomes somewhere to hang around for a while—grab food, catch a set, see what the brands are doing, walk through the cars and head back toward the next part of the show.

Costumes Encouraged — $1,000 in Prizes

October means there’s room to get weird with it.

Guests are encouraged to come in costume, and those who want to compete can enter the Nuwu Cup Costume Contest for a shot at $1,000 in Visa gift card prizes.

1st Place: $750 Visa Gift Card
2nd Place: $250 Visa Gift Card

You do not have to enter the contest to dress up. If you already have a Halloween look in progress, consider October 17 an excuse to bring it out early.

Costumes must allow guests to remain clearly identifiable. Masks, face coverings, hoods, helmets, heavy makeup or body paint that fully obscures the face are not permitted. Real weapons and realistic weapon props are prohibited. Nuwu security may ask guests to remove or adjust costume elements for identification or safety.

SPECIALTY EXPERIENCES

Candles & Cannabis is scheduled from 12:30–2:30 PM, followed later in the afternoon by Glow & Black Light Puff & Paint from 3:30–5:30 PM.

Bling Your Bic is a free activation where guests can customize their own lighter with decorative accessories during select workshop sessions while supplies last.
